I never imagined I would have to write something like this.
My father lost his life during the IranāUS war. He wasn't a soldier. He was simply a loving father and a husband who wanted to come home to his family.
Since that day, my mother and I have been trying to survive with a loss that words can never fully describe. Every day reminds us of the empty place he left behind. Grief doesn't disappear, and neither do the struggles that follow it.
Asking strangers for help is one of the hardest things I have ever done. But today, I'm choosing hope over silence.
