My name is Buckaroo and I really need your help!

I may look like an ordinary orange and white rescued cat but I have an extremely rare blood clotting disorder called Factor X Deficiency (Factor 10). I saw a vet who said she had never seen a case in her 30 years of practicing and my original vet could only find 1 documented case online.

My dad found out last year I was not well after I was neutered and wouldn’t stop bleeding. He tried to pretend he was brave but I know he was so scared. My nice vet researched and called the PEI vet hospital for help. I was put on vitamin K to try to help me with clotting and after a month that nasty bleeding stopped. I was feeling good for over a year but now my nose has started bleeding out of nowhere and won’t stop and my vet is worried it may not just be my nose but inside my furry white chest too. I am feeling terrible I don’t want to eat or drink and my my dad says I look so sad. I just feel awful. My dad tried getting vitamin k for me again but I am feeling just too miserable and this is not enough to help me.

I had to be rushed to the Specialty Vet here in St. Johns for tests and a blood transfusion. I see my Dad and Nanny crying and I don’t know why but they keep telling me how much they love me.

I heard the lady at the VSC say my treatment will cost anywhere from $6000-$10000. I know my Dad doesn’t have this much money and my Nanny is trying to help out but I am hoping some kind people could help save my life. I understand if you cannot donate but if you can forward this on and if you can possibly donate myself and my Dad would be forever grateful.

Buckaroo is a very sweet cat and the first cat in my family as a whole. I am devastated he has this extremely rare clotting condition and I pray this treatment helps him. This will not cure his condition but it will allow him to live. We are trying to get him on a vitamin K supplement for life in hopes it will help his blood to clot going forward. Right now he had to have this transfusion to save his life and from the latest vet update if his red blood cell count should happen to drop he will require a second transfusion while in hospital. Any donation amount is truly a huge help and Buckaroo and I thank you so very much!
